Protect the grievance case file without hiding ownership
Folder Lock may fit selected Windows-based encrypted case archive workflows after current-version testing. It is not a replacement for provider sharing permissions, workplace case-management account identity management, guaranteed backup or guaranteed password recovery. Cloud-related features and compatibility must be verified against the current release and actual environment.
An employee representative preserves the source, creates a minimized review copy and records each authorized handoff before granting access to the case file.
Run the control sequence
- 01
Verify official source, current release, license and supported Windows environment.
- 02
Pilot a fictional case file set before importing the grievance case file and supporting attachments.
- 03
Test locker creation, lock/unlock, reopen and plaintext residue.
- 04
Test separately stored backup, restore and lost-password consequences.
- 05
Approve only the verified use; document exclusions and review date.
Preserve the decision record
Record version, installer source, license, Windows environment, archive/locker settings, test manifest, lock/unlock result, residue, backup, recovery result, exclusions and owner.
Stop when
- Legacy screenshots are treated as proof of the current release.
- The product is used as a collaboration permission system.
- No independent recovery copy or restore test exists.
The record should show the approved case file, tested environment, responsible people and known limitations without storing passwords or unnecessary personal data, unredacted identifiers or superseded drafts.
Separate the surrounding controls
It does not establish the identity or authority of an employee, representative or adviser, provide employment-law advice, or determine procedural validity, workplace-policy format, employment-law deadlines, evidential weight, formal notice, required disclosure or redaction, or case outcome; it does not replace workplace case-management and provider permissions, guaranteed backup, password recovery or workplace case-management account identity management. Encryption does not authorize a recipient, preserve every backup or remove plaintext working copies automatically.
Inspect the workflow, not the artwork

Folder Lock does not replace workplace case-management and provider permissions, guaranteed backup, password recovery or workplace case-management account identity management.
Grievance case file questions
Should encryption become the grievance case file system?
No. Keep the authoritative source case file in the approved grievance case file system and archive the primary case file deliberately.
Does resetting a password recover an existing archive?
Do not assume so. Document the product-specific recovery boundary and test a separate recovery copy.
